We are proud to announce our partnership with Specialized France.
This collaboration marks a new milestone in the development of our technology and in our commitment to making MTB suspension tuning more accessible, more precise, and more effective for all riders.
Since the launch of Absorbent, our goal has remained the same: to improve traction, comfort, and control through an innovative approach to suspension. Today, this vision is shared by Specialized France, which is joining this adventure alongside JRS Racing—whose on-the-ground expertise was instrumental in the development of Absorbent.
For us, this partnership represents, above all, recognition of the work we’ve done over the past several years on mountain bike suspension systems and optimizing the riding experience.
This partnership is based above all on a simple belief: a well-tuned suspension transforms the driving experience.
Whether you ride XC, e-MTB, enduro, or DH, comfort, traction, and control play a key role in your riding enjoyment. Yet many riders still use settings that don’t really match their needs or the terrain they ride on.
At Absorbent, we have developed our technology to address this issue. Our goal is not only to improve suspension performance, but also to make adjustments more accessible and easier to understand for all riders.
Absorbent is the direct result of the fieldwork conducted by JRS Racing.
Over the years, numerous sessions dedicated to adjusting, optimizing, and preparing mountain bike suspension have helped identify the limitations of traditional solutions used in modern forks.
It was based on this experience that our founder, James Gonzales, developed Absorbent. A solution designed to improve sensitivity, grip, and control while offering more customization options.
Development of the system continued in collaboration with top-level riders, notably the Specialized Factory Racing team and Victor Koretzky. These collaborations made it possible to test, refine, and validate the technology under particularly demanding conditions.
Today, this expertise is available to all practitioners, regardless of their skill level.
Absorbent is based on a technical combination designed to directly influence the suspension’s behavior.
The system combines variable-density foam with a specialized support designed to precisely control airflow within the positive-pressure chamber.
This combination results in a more natural and consistent progression than traditional solutions.
Each component plays a specific role. The foam affects the suspension’s response, while the support controls airflow to maintain a consistent balance between pressure, cushioning, and responsiveness.
With its seven foam densities, Absorbent offers a wide range of customization options. This allows each rider to create a setup tailored to their riding style, terrain, and desired feel.
The Alpha Pack lets you explore these different configurations and easily adjust your mountain bike suspension setup as you test them out.
This partnership with Specialized France is a natural fit for our approach.
We share a common goal: to help riders better understand their suspension systems and enjoy equipment that performs better and is more enjoyable to ride.
Beyond the product itself, we also want to share our expertise through tutorials, educational content, and the Absorbent Lab training program designed for workshops and professionals looking to develop their skills in mountain bike suspension tuning.
This collaboration marks a new milestone for Absorbent and motivates us more than ever to continue developing innovative solutions for riders.
The partnership between Absorbent, JRS Racing, and Specialized France reaffirms a vision we’ve held from the very beginning. A better-tuned suspension allows for a more comfortable ride with more grip and better control.
We look forward to continuing this journey alongside Specialized France and to continuing to help you optimize your suspension systems.
