Absorbent was born in the field before being perfected in the JRS workshop. Its creator, James, founder of the brand and R&D technician, has over 15 years of experience in motorcycle trial development as a test rider and product designer.
Today, Absorbent is used and endorsed by Axel Roudil-Cortinat and Axelle Dubau-Prévot, French XC Marathon champions in 2025, as well as other runners competing in the World Cup, who appreciate its consistency and comfort on the most demanding courses.
The system has evolved through testing, field feedback and the demands of competition to become what it is today: a reliable, progressive and versatile system that delivers real gains in comfort, control and performance from the very first ride. It is the culmination of our expertise in MTB suspension development.
Every detail counts: the foam optimises response, while the plastic support manages airflow for controlled pressure. One cannot function without the other; it is this combination that makes all the difference. A clear gain in progressiveness and consistency, tested and validated in the field.

Absorbent replaces the usual rigid spacers with open-cell technical foam. These cells allow air to circulate during compression, providing a softer and more controlled response.
The foam retains its properties over time, with very little variation in density depending on temperature. Whether you are driving in the height of summer or at 5°C in the mountains, the response remains consistent, precise and reliable. If you notice a change in performance between seasons, this is usually due to the hydraulic system: oil viscosity varies with temperature, whereas foam retains its performance.

The plastic support, a key component of the system, has been developed to optimise the performance of your suspension by precisely managing airflow. Its internal vents ensure a constant balance between pressure and expansion, guaranteeing a smooth response without friction or unwanted variations.

Absorbent offers three official presets, ranging from the most sensitive to the one offering the most support, as well as a guide to custom settings for those who want to go further. A clear framework, but with endless possibilities for adjustment to suit your riding style and terrain.

Absorbent is quick and easy to install, designed so that every user can adjust their mountain bike’s suspension without difficulty. All you need are a few basic tools to open the chamber: a socket for Fox models, or a cassette spanner for SRAM suspension.
Attach the plastic holder to the inner tube cap.
Insert the foam cylinders according to the desired progression.
Secure the assembly with the plastic clip.

It is recommended that the foam pads be replaced once a year to ensure consistent performance. This quick operation helps maintain the system’s efficiency and extend the lifespan
of your MTB suspension optimisation.
The cost of replacing the foam pads ranges from €20 to €40, depending on the model.
